The So and So's, who scored such a great
success during their visit a fortnight ago, are, in
consequence of that success, at the Pier Pavilion again this
week. It is a capital all-round company, and though the
principals are just the same as before, we noticed one or
two new artistes. They are very strong dramatically, and
there is plenty of variety and no end of humour in their
entertainments of over two hours. Their potted pantomimes
are screamingly funny. They give shows each afternoon and
evening.
Band
Concerts.
The advent of Miss Dorothea Vincent's Cremona
Ladies' Orchestra at the Floral Hall, on Monday, was
welcomed by a number of lovers of good music, and from now
to the end of the season, the latter will have glorious
feasts provided for them. Miss Vincent has brought with her
some of the former favourites, as well as fresh talent, and
Miss Spooner's vocal contributions have already become
immensely popular. Miss Vincent has brought with her some
exquisite violin solos, and in the serenade of Pierne, which
she gave on Monday night one realised again how remarkably
cultured a player she is. It is to be hoped the residents
will make it widely known among our visitors that their
musical appetites will be most agreeably appeased at the
Floral Hall every afternoon and evening.
Next
Week's Attraction.
Next week, Mr. Harrison is bringing a first-
class vaudeville combination, described as original, funny
and refined, and which comprises Miss Sylvia Cavelho and
company in a farcical fantasy in one act—"A visitor from
Venus." She also appears in another farcical sketch "The
husband of Peggy," which she has given in the London
Coliseum. Miss May 'Mulvey will present her up-to-date
comedy playlet "Winning a wife," and the other items
comprise dramatic monologues, operatic selections, etc.
